Celestial Zone 2.1 Fanfic Novel - Chapter 14: Disaster befalls!
author's notes: sorry for the long long update. I went into National Service, so i couldnt write anything. If anything, i promise this story will take on unexpected twists, and will update as much as i can.The Oracle of Turtle Island has arrived!
The 3 sisters ran into each other at the hallway to the main doors. They stared at each other, each wondering who it could be except Topaz.
Nodding her head at the door, she whispered, “The Oracle of Turtle Island.” 2 pairs of disbelieving eyes stared back at her, then shifted to the door.
Topaz took a deep breath and marched past her sisters, a curious, determined look on her face, as if she had to see for herself if the Oracle was something special.
Before she could have opened the door though, it blasted inwards, splinters of debris flying every which way. Topaz was hurled backward, feeling disorientated but unhurt, a shinning gold light shielding her. The other sisters were stunned and unhurt too. However, the difference is that they had time to react; Sapphire had her Artemis’s Hunting Bow out, readied with a Piercing Arrow Lv3. Amethyst had a strange set of claws on, each giving off a weird aura and seemed to warp and form back periodically, god knows what abilities they possessed.
Before the dust even settled, 6 man-like creatures hooded in grey hooked monk gowns leap into the hallway, and commenced attacking the sisters furiously.
Topaz barely had time to pick herself up, and ready herself before the enemies were upon her. Feeling the desperate live or die rush of energy, she back-rolled , came to her feet and in the blink of an eye, became a living weapon, a Hork-Bajir.
Basically, it is a large, 7 feet tall monster with lots of blades on its joints and can move fast despite of its size. It was a from a sci-fic series of books, the Animorphs that she had read about from the library.
To say that Topaz had transformed herself into that form was stretching the truth too much though, for all she did was encased herself into that form, though that form had no sentient life or blood or any such nonsense; it is merely a biogenic weapon that somehow had its owner inside of it.
A seemingly slow swipe with her left fore-claws and a tail lash annoyingly with ease, the 2 enemies that were going for her was wiped out. One came to a complete halt, dead on its track; ¾ of its body opened up by Topaz-Hork’s tail. The tail gave a violent shake, freeing itself and curled poise to strike again, while the unknown enemy collapsed slowly to the ground, twitching and jerking in seizure, blood and green gore oozing from its wound.
The second enemy had ducked the claw swipe and thought that it had dodged the attack. Woe be to it for it had underestimated the size of the claws. The sharp razor claws had sliced cleanly through the neck and chest of the enemy; and taking off an arm at the elbow while at it. The enemy did not stop moving, but started off a fountain of blood, then skied to a stop as its knees buckled and stopped moving. Eventually it collapsed not more than a foot away from Topaz-Hork.
Out of the remaining 4, 3 were picked off by Sapphire’s arrows. One was pinned to a pillar by the arm, roaring its pain and fury and trying to wiggle its arm free, while the other 2 had their head blasted off by a single arrow. It had gone right through both the first and second enemy’s head and out through what was left of the main door. The headless bodies went down to their knees and stayed in this position, blood and green gore adorning its surrounding.
The last leaped up off the ground and was going for Amethyst, a large spear in its hand glowing with a bright orange heat. Amethyst’s Chaos Destroyer was aptly named. The spear connected with the claws, and instantly dissipated into a cloud of hissing wisps of smoke, so did the enemy that came down and had itself impaled into the claws, not even knowing why it couldn’t run Amethyst through with its Enhanced Spear of Konoha.
The last remaining enemy still pinned to the hallway wall gave a high pitched scream and tore its own arm out of its socket, completely detached from its body, blood and gore spattering everywhere.
Topaz suddenly had a sudden vision that swarmed her under. She fell to the grounds, unconscious and defenseless as all her powers were deactivated. Sapphire gave a shout and ran towards her sister. Amethyst was standing a distance away saw what was coming though, she tried to shout and warn her sisters, but it was too late.
The enemy jerked and shuddered and then started morphing into something huge. Its head broke through the ceiling its girth knocked down the walls, when its tail came out, it completely demolished whatever walls that was still left standing in a 2 meter radius around itself.
Sapphire managed to dragged Topaz away a little, stopped to catch her breath and looked up to see what was happening. What she saw made her dissipate her bow and frantically summoned her White Rose of Divinity, don her best set of battle gears, including Xue Xin Ling, and try to ward off the incoming attack.
The incoming 2 claws she managed to deflect enough to crash into the debris around her. The tail was so full of spikes and thorns that all she could do was to lock her sword there. Strangely enough the sword was not able to cut through this creature’s armored skin. The tail was so very heavy, and Sapphire’s legs buckled. She went down into a kneeling position, desperately holding off the dead weight.
It was then that she suddenly heard what Amethyst had been shouting all this time, “It’s a freakin’ dragon!! Get away! Incoming fire blast!!” And the next thing she knew was heat, and pain. A sharp sharp pain through her chest, and then it all ends, in darkness.
The Chaos Destroyer, Amethyst's claws
A fan drawing of a Hork-Bajir, this should give u an idea how Topaz looked. Think green, huge and scaly.
Sapphire's best armor, Kirin Armor, reinforced with her White Rose of Divinity.
The rose's power simply make sure that all projectiles are rendered useless should there be any.
A rough idea what the enemy morphed into. A red dragon.
